Collecting for many years— I used to put check marks in my 600-page Comics Buyer Guide back in the day, and lug it around with me to ComiCons. 
The CLZ app is so awesome. When I reorganized my books, I tracked them all on CLZ, based on what comic box number I put them in. I can now find any book I own in an instant. The app also lets me take notes on the book, like if it’s autographed or where I got it and what it cost. If I hear about a book going up in value, I can see if I already have just by searching the app. Also, I can take a photo of any weird one-off book that’s not already in their massive database. This is the app that everyone uses for a good reason— it’s useful, simple, and has made collecting more fun!
